White Curtain: Inside Movement & Autre Mode: Life and Fashion Waves

Main Room: the installation "white curtain: inside movement" is the work of two French artists: Frederic Lemoine & Bénédicte Blanc-Fontenille, who have both been inspired by movement. Movement, even if invisible, is necessary to live.
Lemoine understands movement as a body, a human being, a person who travels from one place to another, letting his imagination roam. Lemoine's mobiles, composed of silk paper and slate, move softly and imperceptibly in order to catch the words - those words pronounced or whispered that the artist expects to catch in a movement to immortalize them. Through his diptychs polished with wax and slate, Lemoine re-creates, during an inspired journey, thousands of movements performed by a body to return to the essential point…the desire point…the coveted point….
Thanks to his meticulously studied work and the techniques he creates in his Parisian studio for hours on end to find the perfect color, the perfect movement, Lemoine hopes to show artistically the movement which creates life.
